I'm a little late to comment here, but hopefully you see this anyway. I'm @shenanigator's girlfriend (the one SUPER afraid of cockroaches lol) and we're even more seriously considering moving to Mexico now.

I am very happy to receive this comment, thank you! In regards to cockroaches, theyre hear but they arent the main bug like in a place like Florida if that comforts you at all. Im glad you found this post useful, i wrote it for people like you!
That's comforting to know! To be honest, I'd deal with las cucarachas if it meant getting to live in an enjoyable new city. ;)

Not a problem, I say Acapulco is more than worth it. There are more lizard gecko home invaders and those are the cutest home invaders.
