So, he had insisted they were going home and they were taking the bus since mom didn't want to drive them in that weather. So, we get into the car and head for the bus station a few miles away.

As we're driving up a railroad overpass, the car spun out on the ice and luckily came to a stop upright and facing back the way we'd come. Everyone in the car was collecting our nerves back, most of all the driver, and we heard this calm, placid voice from the front seat say, "Maybe we should just go back to the house."
