Hello again @murathe, yes finding a landing spot can be quite difficult on steemit. A few places I can recommend as a place to try is @blockurator for short story ideas along a sci-fi'ish vain, there is @mariannewest - She does a daily freewrite and has a lot of people that participate in them a pretty good group for finding that niche writing spot.

Community/people wise @blacklux seems to be a very helpful person, I think they got started with the @PIFC (Pay It Forward Community) a very good community for meeting people and getting exposure with out a lot of hoop and loops to jump through. Their community members are all pretty helpful people.

For photography, well that is pretty much wide open on steemit. For a nice group of just ordinary everyday photo people that like to try and take on creative challenges with their camera lens there is @melinda010100 and her shadow photo challenges. Quite a few of the people that participate on a regular basis also have their own little show us your picture post tags, not contest-(except melinda's)-just a reason to make a nice small post to share a little bit about your surroundings, such as #mountainmondays, #bouldersundays, #fungifriday #fridaysrock, #wednesdaywalk.

#wednesdawalk is run by @tattoodjay - A very nice person like @melinda010100. They take the time to respond and comment on almost all of the participants, well most of those tags I mentioned take the time to leave comments and votes. Most of them are not professional photographers, just people looking to share their view of the world.

If you have not run across her yet and want someone a little closer to home that could be a good source of how to really really get going on steemit check out @elsiekjay. She is from Kenya, and a very personable individual that is more than willing to help people really get going. She started in Jan this year, is already at Reputation 69 and has built up a little bit of SP. (a lot more than me, and I have been here for almost 6 months longer than her). So she could be of very good help.
