Sigmund Freud (1856 - 1939) is considered to be the father of psychoanalysis, which is the method of treating psychopathy through discussion between patient and doctor. An Austrian, Freud attended the University of Vienna where he qualified to become a Doctor of Medicine.

One day, in retrospect, the years of struggle will strike you as the most beautiful.
When we are struggling it seems like the worst time of our lives. In a relationship, in our work, whatever our struggles might be, at the time they seem like the end of the world. When we break through those struggles and come out the other side, we often find that we are stronger than when we went in.
Dealing with our struggles teach us how to problem solve, they teach us to persevere, to get up when we are knocked down. They also teach us where we need to improve ourselves and where we are strong. When things are going well we learn less because the times that we take the most time to self-examine is when things are not going well.
When we look back at those times of struggle we might just realize that those times were exactly what we needed.
