This reminds me of the Megyn Kelly book entitled "Settle For More" which is an interesting read regarding her life encapsulating moments from her childhood, climb via the legal profession, and eventually becoming a news personality. Also, Maya Angelou is one of my favorite people and her words of wisdom, "Believe people the first time they show you who they are." I have read all of her books and she was such a nurturing motherly figure.
