A little history of Neuro Linguistic Programming

The Neuro-Linguistic Programming is seen as consisting of a set of techniques developed from the study of how people regarded as "excellent" in a particular area.

It is often defined classically Neuro Linguistic Programming as "the study of subjective experience and what can you do with this knowledge," a definition attributed to Richard Bandler, one of its three creators.

Appears in the 70s of the last century the great era of social and cultural movements in America, around the prestigious Stanford University in Palo Alto in the Bay of San Francisco in California, in the shadow of "El Palo Alto" a tree 33 meters which gave the name to the place, in the heart of Silicon Valley. It is developed by the time of the end time of the hippies and the rise of the yuppie movement and arises as a result of curiosity and impertinence of Richard Bandler (then student of psychology, math whiz and gestalte therapy) and John Grinder (in linguistics expert) . Lately it was revealed a new co-author, Frank Pucelik.

Names that served as the source for its establishment were, among others, Perls, Satir and Erickson directly linked to the practice of therapy. Other figures play a key role in the conceptual field, such as Gregory Bateson, Jerzy Korzybski and Noam Chomsky ...

The Neuro Linguistic Programming remains current because the methodology has been widely systematized and enriched up to today by contributions from big names such as Judith DeLozier, David Gordon, Steve Andreas, Connirae Andreas, Robert Dilts, Cristina Hall, Wyatt Woodsmall, Robert Mc Donald, David Gordon, Tad James, Michael Hall, Richard Bolstad, Lucas Derks ... and others.

For programming can mean the way to organize the subjective experience to produce results. A mental reprogramming the same sensitive material leads to changes in brain plasticity and new mental and behavioral possibilities. Neuro relates to our neurological processes. Everything we feel, think and do is born in neurological processes of the senses. Starting point is the interdependence between the central nervous system, sensory impressions and subjective experience. Linguistics component in the acronym Neuro Linguistic Programming refers to the use of language as a key element in the organization of sensory impressions, hence its role in the arrangement of thoughts, behaviors and communication. The organization of language results in the creation of a world model - a system of ideas, memories, hopes and beliefs that, in turn, act as personal filters in use and interpretation of the information that reaches us from the world and interpretation of information we have about ourselves.

If at first was limited to therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming is now applied in all areas where communication processes, that is, in all areas of life.
We therefore consider it as the study of the workings of the mind and our subjective experience and a practical set of tools that is the result of this study can be applied in the vast field of communication. We can look at it as modeling how people do what they do and the transformation of this knowledge into a set of "recipes" to develop skills and achieve goals. We regard it also as an attitude and as a self-discovery process and personal development for the discovery and realization of individual subjective experience of the meaning of life. All this in the context of a contribution to a better world.
