Lake Pend Oreille

This evening I attended a graduation open house honoring two brothers who have completed their home school studies. They are very pleasant young men, and I'm honored to have had the opportunity to watch them grow up. The party was held at nearby Farragut State Park, which is situated along Lake Pend Oreille. It was a cool, damp day, but there was a large picnic shelter so nobody got soaked except the little children who opted to run and play in the rain. Afterwards I drove to a nearby viewpoint and shot this photo.

I plan to return on a sunny day when the sailboats are out and take another photo.
