Dumping Rubbish in Other Bins???

This week debate has risen over the dumping of rubbish in other people'e wheelie bins.

Sometimes, under the cover of darkness, I have snuck next door and dumped a few extra items into the neighbours bin, particularly when my bin is overflowing. Who hasn't done this?

Well apparently this is just not kosher! People actually get upset that you place rubbish in 'their' bins just before they are emptied????

So to clear things up, all has been revealed around the legalities of dumping in your neighbours bins.

The wheelie bin is actually owned by the local council and not by you or your neighbour. You just manage the bin and use it for rubbish purposes. This means that the use of said bins are governed by council bylaws and one of those bylaws prohibits people placing rubbish in a bin that they don't manage!

So, you can be prosecuted for dumping into another persons wheelie bin! Go figure. My tip, don't have any evidence that could implicate you in this 'highly illegal and immoral act'........ First World Problems!
