Benefits of Homeschooling - Our February Homeschool Project
About this time 5 years ago, our homeschool journey began at a local homeschool co-op. Since then, we have traveled around the world, advanced in our studies, and of course, started our creative homeschool project, Saturn Music & Entertainment. One of our assignments this month is to share the benefits we like the most about homeschooling on our new social media pages. We call this our #BenefitsofHomeschooling. #BenefitsofHomeschooling # 1: Creative Freedom
While Hayden (The Heart and Soul)'s talents are in creating catchy melodies, Madeline (The Brains) makes sure the proper music theory is in place so everything sounds great in the final production. Being homeschooled allows us to express our creativity in our own way, giving each idea adequate time to grow and evolve into something unique.
#BenefitsofHomeschooling # 2: Individualized Learning
Not everyone learns the same and that's okay. Homeschooling provides us the opportunity to expand on our strengths, and be able to ask for more one-on-one help with the subjects that are harder to grasp at first. Individualized learning encourages us to become more self-motivated, self-directed and engaged learners.
#BenefitsofHomeschooling # 3: Flexible Schedule
Having a generalized daily routine keeps us on track, though sometimes, a kid just needs to go outside and explore. Being homeschooled, we have the flexibility to alter our daily schedule and make time to wander outside and soak in the beauty nature has to offer. We come back feeling refreshed and inspired - which translates into more cool content for our Saturn Project.
For parents out there who have considered homeschooling or trying another education method, we highly recommend homeschooling. Homeschooling has helped us grow in so many ways that it will take this whole month to name the benefits.
