Votes are definitely being traded behind closed doors. When whales have the power to give $100+ votes then they will gather and use this to their advantage. The trending page is always the same people every single day. I hardly ever see anyone new there. The platform is an amazing idea that is executed poorly. Whales have way too much influence and it really is pay to win. Buy more Steem to become a whale yourself or somehow get lucky enough to attract whale votes from whales who want to help instead of trade votes. I love Steemit but I'm unsure for the future of this platform.
Correct or You can recruit lots of people and if some are large investors they will know you and they can upvote you and you upvote them. It’s a free market right now . I’m a believer that in the long run it will work itself out! There you go a nice upvote for you
My issue is that most of the power is given to whales. What makes their opinion on what to upvote worth more than anyone elses? Just because they hold more Steem they have more influence... just like real life if you have more money you have more influence. It doesn't work itself out. It just gets worse.
The fairy tale is not over, it was never here to begin with. Facts are more interesting than fiction. They create the Satoshi myth and claim a whole new world, to distract the dreamy from participating in the reality of the old market game with new pieces. In general they want the rich always getting richer and boots on the throat of the poor. The goal in life is to appreciate knowing wherever you are. Because even the markets obey nature: What goes up, must come down. What is down, shall rise. RISE HOMIE RISE! Unite with your fellow friends and work together. It is the power that we all have. The rich are working together. The poor need only to turn away from the fairy tales of false hope, to grasp reality by the horns and ride.
Yeah you're totally right , i have an idea that can maybe help people to gain visibility at least a little . I will do a post about that today
