What Is Your Goal...?

in #life6 years ago

Hi guy's! hope you all are doing great. Today i will be sharing with you guy's a topic called "GOAL". Yeah goal! Note the goal would be talking about in this post is not for football, but rather life goal.

Firstly, what is a GOAL ? in a simple sentence is just something that you are trying to do or achieve OR we can also says the act of thinking about your ideal future, and also the process of motivating yourself to turn your vision of the future into reality.

Individual can set a personal goal. Let take for example e.g A student may set a goal of becoming the best student of his/her departement. A business man may set a goal of making a specific amount a profit at the end of every month. A footballer may set a goal of scoring a specific number of goals at the end of every season. Likewise, a steemian may set a goal of reaching specific number of reputation at the end of every month e.t.c.
But my question is that What Goal Have You Set For Yourself? OR are you the type that lives your life without aiming at a specific goal of achieving. This question may sound a little bitter, but let remember this popular says that Truthfulness is always bitter.

As a steemian we must set a goal for ourselfs and also we must stay focus of achieving the goal. I personally know a story of one steemian @k-banti who set his selfs a goal of reaching 200 steem power at the end of just this last month and he surely achieved it because of the determination and dedication he has made for himself, and not only him have done this but there are also may other steemians who have done the same and they also achieved their goals.

Here are some our basic rules of goal setting:

1. Set Goals that Motivate You
When you set goals for yourself, it is important that they motivate you: this means making sure that they are important to you, and that there is value in achieving them. If you have little interest in the outcome, or they are irrelevant given the larger picture, then the chances of you putting in the work to make them happen are slim. Motivation is key to achieving goals.

2. Set SMART Goals
You have probably heard of SMART goals Add to My Personal Learning Plan already. But do you always apply the rule? The simple fact is that for goals to be powerful, they should be designed to be SMART.

3. Set Goals in Writing
The physical act of writing down a goal makes it real and tangible. You have no excuse for forgetting about it. As you write, use the word “will” instead of “would like to” or “might.” For example, “I will reduce my operating expenses by 10 percent this year,” not “I would like to reduce my operating expenses by 10 percent this year.” The first goal statement has power and you can “see” yourself reducing expenses, the second lacks passion and gives you an excuse if you get sidetracked.

4. Make an Action Plan
This step is often missed in the process of goal setting. You get so focused on the outcome that you forget to plan all of the steps that are needed along the way. By writing out the individual steps, and then crossing each one off as you complete it, you’ll realize that you are making progress towards your ultimate goal. This is especially important if your goal is big and demanding, or long-term. Read our article on Action Plans Add to My Personal Learning Plan for more on how to do this.

5. Stick With It!
Remember, goal setting is an ongoing activity not just a means to an end. Build in reminders to keep yourself on track, and make regular time-slots available to review your goals. Your end destination may remain quite similar over the long term, but the action plan you set for yourself along the way can change significantly. Make sure the relevance, value, and necessity remain high.

Here is a quote about goal setting:

Quote: “If you want to be happy, set a goal that commands your thoughts, liberates your energy and inspires your hopes.”

Author: Andrew Carnegie.

Once again, to all my brothers and sisters let all try to set a goal for ourselves and let make sure we achieve it by making it come to reality.
