Communication being what it is - getting your point across for people to understand can be an exercise in futility. First, you have to say it exactly right and second, they have to hear it exactly right.
The main point of it all, attempt.. ATTEMPT to listen to what people are trying to convey and try to meet them where they are. Of course, easier said than done.
