Directing Your Sails And Riding With The Billows

One very unique characteristic of a sailing yacht is the ability to leverage on the speed and direction of the wind and directs its sail to flow with the wind. This is also applicable when it comes to other life's situations. There is a point you will realize that you cannot stop the wind from blowing and you do not need to stop it, but you can direct your sail to leverage on the force of the wind and move you forward - just like the case of the yacht.

The difference between the flight pattern of an eagle and other birds is simply amazing. While other birds are busy flapping and expending energy, the eagle locates the direction of the wind and tilts its wings accordingly to flow with the wind and soars. You see, when other birds will be swayed by the force of the wind, the eagle will be take higher by it.

Going after your dream is never an easy task, especially when the dream is massive. A period of challenge will come but with the right "can do" spirit, you will get through. Not expecting challenges to come is a very easy way of falling victim of the challenges when they come. Preparedness is a vital key to confronting challenges.

You may not be able to dictate how or when challenges will come (just like a yacht sailor cannot stop the waves from rising), you only have a choice of how to respond to the challenges. Challenges, most times, can hold the key to your breakthrough and avoiding them may be avoiding breakthroughs.

No doubt, you have to expect the best out of life but this does not automatically mean you should not brace up yourself and get ready to take on challenges as they come. The truth is, for each new level and position you attain, there is always a complementary challenge waiting for you and you need to confront it.

In school for example, moving from one class to another will always require that the student will face an exam. Firstly, to show that they have understood the current class well and then to prove they are ready for the next class. In the same way, there are challenges you need to overcome for you to unlock a new achievement.

The bigger the achievement you want to unlock, the fiercer the challenge you need to overcome and the only way to overcome them is by facing and putting up a confrontation against them. This is how legends are made.
