Treasure hunting with my daughter - a first try
A geocaching adventure
Tonight me and my daughter went outside for a so-called Geo Caching adventure

Geocaching
As we will go on a holiday in a few days, I found something nice to do with the family. We like to walk quit a bit during our vacation but normally without any purpose other than sightseeing the area. But this year I found a nice treasure hunting game.
It is called Geocaching. It is a treasure hunting game based on GPS location where you use your phone (you have to download an app first). Then from within the app, you'll navigate to a specific set of GPS coordinates and then attempt to find "treasure", most of the times a hidden container at that location. Some description of the geocache will give you hints on what to look for. If found you can add your name to a logbook and leave the item in its original place for others to find.
It isn't as easy as it sounds
While arriving at the specified coordinates we combed out the area very precise but unfortunately, we weren't able to actually find the cache. Perhaps someone has taken it from its location or we didn't look that good. Anyways, I promissed my daughter, as she insisted, to go out again tomorrow evening again to bring mom with us and look better, because mama can always find everything'.
could it be located in the water?

sounds like a true adventure .... so there's geoCaching in the Netherlands as well ? May need to check that out with Jack.
You should, there are a lot of these caches located across the Netherlands. In fact, you can contribute a cache by yourself and let other ones find this cache. Perhaps we can go on a hunt with our kids together!
that's an amazing adventure I like this game thanks a lot for sharing it ;)
I love geocaching, as well as augmented reality applications in general.
enjoy :)
I have never heard of this before, sounds like great fun, and good exercise too :)
