Swimming in the Kaweah River in Sequoia National Park
It's been so hot here in central California, but the good news is that we have beautiful swim holes close by in the Sequoia National Park.
We found areas for Daniel and Harvey to play and a few very nice swim holes for me to enjoy a swim.
The water is crystal clear and refreshing. The Kaweah River flows over and between granite monoliths. Just viewing the huge boulders is worth the visit.
@luvbnamome and I bought a year pass for the National Parks and since we are so close, we use it quite often.
The Generals Highway runs along the main fork of the Kaweah River and the swim holes are actually a short hike from parking.
The trails are way maintained and several areas have steps for easier access to the river.
Nothing better than snacks after a few hours of swimming in the Kaweah River.
I'm @runridefly, and best swim is a swim with the people you love most.
what a great day you had looks so good chilling and relaxing Great photos :)
Have a nice day !
Water part is fun but those rocks looks a little bit tricky.
I should tie my daughter on a string or something , she would be all over that place.
Wonderful photos.
The scale of those rocks is amazing!
@opheliafu, the rocks are huge. Some are resting on much smaller rocks, and you wondering how long?
I am now!
Maravilloso :)
The kiddos look like they are having a blast! The water really is crystal clear!
There is nothing like that in North Florida!
