Christmas can be a sad time.

In response to a reply to my lost friend post, I will say the Christmas season is a somber time for us. We lost Andrea's mom suddenly on 12/22/1999 to brain annurism . We spent two days in the hospital hoping she would pull through. she did not.

In 2006 we were taking care of Andrea's dad Al. He was living in the apartment below us. I was accustomed to going down to check on him in the morning before going to work. On the morning of 12/18/ 2006, I went in to greet him. He was usually
awake and up by then. When I didn't see him in his chair I called for him. No response. I turned on the lights and found him in a kneeling position next to his bed with his arms on the bed and night stand. He had been deceased for several hours.
So Andrea and I are very familiar with how sad Christmas can be. :-(
