Corgi Batmobile 267 VNMIB. 1969 - This is the one you've been waiting for.

This is my Batmobile

I've got a few Corgi Batmobile's, but this is the MK1 made in 1969 by Corgi UK
Its got the "Bat Wheels", the 3 stage rocket firing mechanism and the tire slasher front blade.
Of course, Batman and his trusty ward, Robin, the boy wonder by his side.

"Holy Cow Batman, I gotta have one of those!!"

It's got the rockets which unfortunately aren't on the sprew, the secret instructions but I'm missing the sticker with the bat logo!
Not surprising really, I remember getting one when I was a boy for Christmas and the first thing I did was stick the bat sign on my shirt and run around going "Pow, Zap, Kabam" all day.

The exhaust flame at the back goes in and out when you push it along and its all in black with red bats on the wheels and no tow hook.

This is the one you want.

The underside has a cool looking Batman molded in and the artwork on the box and inner packing is just great.

The 60's Batman show was tongue in cheek but much more fun than the dark batman the kids know now.
I don't like to talk money with these models, but mine isn't for sale and I'd pay up to £500 for an unopened secret instructions envelope withe the elusive batman logo sticker inside.

First pics are of the model I actually own.
Not the one from my childhood, which has long since disappeared from my life.
I've also put some of the original pictures used when Corgi designed the model in the mid 60's

Heres my Corgi 267. Dont you wish it was yours?

Adam West died last year and the Batsign was shone into the sky after his funeral.

Its here on YouTube

An interesting fact about Burt Ward (Robin) was that after the series ended in 1968 he went into making porn movies!
Don't believe me? Look here. "Holy Bazookas Batman!"

And here is a YouTube clip of the legend at work.

Sort:

I have one from the late 70's. Threw the box away and played with it when I was a kid. Lost Robin and those orange missiles. I used matchsticks as a replacement. Used to have battles with the Batmobile vs a tank. Wish my parents had bought 2 and kept one in the box but I don't think many people did that in those days.

Ross these old retro toys are amazing dude

Wait till you see the rest.
They are pure works of art.

I can't wait 😃
