"Please revert back the soonest"
I received an email from a colleague today. This person always like to use this phrase "please revert back the soonest" in all of his emails. Everytime I received emails from him I always think, is that a correct phrase to use asking people to reply to your email the soonest? I mean, something doesn't sounds right there. Revert means "returning something to its original state" right? So does that means that I just need to forward him back his original email without any reply or response?
What do you guys think about this?
