I don't know how it will look like in the future but right now it's more like a personal database than a proper blockchain.

I really thought the numbers where decreasing since McDonalds was not doing that well some years ago, but apparently only in my country, not worldwide :(
I've never seen any without costumers. A big brand indeed. They know how to sell.

Like anything you need to know market saturation. Instead of making McDonalds special and more rare, they went into overkill... but at over 1 million per franchise why not?
Besides they are more a real estate company.
