The key to Women Empowerment and how Feminism has evolved.

What is Women Empowerment?

Have we done enough?

We have come a long way , but despite the strides we are still far away from where we should be.
Even today there are minorities that still limit the rights and roles of women in one way or the other.
The first and the most important thing we need to do is reconstruct the scheme of thought that opinions held by men are always right and whatever women speak doesn't carry any meaning. She is equally sensible the way a man can be.

If we've established that, then where's the problem?

The problem lies in the society. Our society makes women believe in lies so much that it gets imprinted in their behaviour and over time women themselves refuse to believe in the truth They have lived in subjugation for so long that they are often afraid to speak up.

However having said all that , seeing how feminism has evolved completely undermines the reason for its existence.
I'm not saying this for the entire world.
This is just my experience from what I have seen around me mostly in countries like India, Pakistan.
The way feminism ( or Desi feminism as I like to call it) has evolved is outrageous.
The minute you say women are better than men, you're wrong. That's why feminism is failing.

Women are different yet equal.
I think it's time we stop being so sensitive about our gender roles and start thinking as humans.

Let's place humanity first.

And the only way to do that is education.
The literacy rate of women is still far away from the ideal.
Women need to get educated in order to learn their rights and not be afraid to speak up.
They need not act according to braced lines, instead take a pen and start writing their own stories.

This poem is dedicated to every girl who wants to speak up but is afraid.

Listen!
I believe you like night believes day
Moon believes sun
Word believes pen.

Believe!
You are an ocean of unspoken words.
You are just a little afraid

Afraid of getting noticed
Afraid of being misunderstood.
This fear has faded every single word of your story

You may have forgotten the way to express, but not the story.

Hold the pen Unfold your existence
Forget about the fairy tales
Be the princess of your own story
