SOSUYIT (Saya Orang Tua Asuh Yatim Palestina) managed to choose as many as 320 Palestinian orphans who are entitled to Foster Parents from Indonesia who will help his education.
various ways was taken by Indonesian Muslims to improve faith and devotion to God Almighty during the month of Ramadan.
Sharing pleasure and gratitude is not limited to those around us. But hope also the same pleasure can be felt distant relatives.
Similarly, the Muslims of Indonesia's disappearance. Not only those living in the country, but also those who are abroad. They may work together to help educate Palestinian children, especially those in Gaza.
Abdillah Onim who is familiarly called "Bang (brother) Onim," an Indonesian citizen who since 2008 settled in Gaza, received a mandate from Muslim Muslim benefactors of Indonesia to mediate in order to find a Palestinian orphan who deserves help to continue his education.
Based on the release quoted from MTVN, Thursday, June 8, 2017, the compensation program of the Indonesian Muslim benefactor for the Palestinian orphans is the first time held in Gaza. So no wonder, so much energy, thoughts and efforts are mobilized for the smoothness of this program, both before and on the day of implementation activities.
Although Palestine is the task area of the Indonesian Embassy in Amman, but given the limited access to Gaza territory, the presence of Bang Onim living in Gaza can bridge the generous intentions of Indonesians who want to do good deeds.
Business done by Bang Onim certainly not easy. However, good arrangements and coordination have been made to the maximum extent possible. No more than a month from the launch of this program, has been registered hundreds of Indonesian citizens who are willing to become foster parents.
In fact, some of them are willing to sponsor four or five orphans. Finally, the team formed to implement a program called SOSUYIT " Saya Orang Tua Asuh Yatim Palestina" (I am Old Foster Parent of the Palestinian Orphan), managed to choose as many as 320 Palestinian orphans who are entitled to Foster Parents from Indonesia who will help his education.
The majority of them are children who lost their father due to Israeli aggression.
The orphans are communities that need attention in Palestinian society. The prolonged wars and blockades in the Gaza Strip have caused their numbers to increase. Various support and attention is of course very meaningful to the Palestinian orphans.
Keep in mind! Gaza is an area that only has an area of 367 Kilometers per square, but inhabited two million inhabitants. No less than 1.5 million of whom live below the poverty line. Many of them have no jobs due to the Israeli blockade that has lasted more than a decade.
As the originator of this SOSUYIT program, Bang Onim explained that this is an effort to help and nurture orphans who lost their families who should bear their lives. He asserted, the people of Indonesia will continue to participate in programs and humanitarian activities like this by collecting foster children from all areas in the Gaza Strip.
All this, Bang Onim added, solely to reduce the suffering of the Palestinian people in the midst of economic situation is getting worse due to the Israeli blockade that continues to misery the people of Gaza.
"It is a pleasure to see the joys of orphaned Palestinians who are able to return to school. Spending on orphans is a charitable antidote for heart and soul illness, softening a hard heart, purifying a Muslim's treasure, and opening the doors of goodness to society", he explained, touched by telephone to Amman.
