I also have experience went to fishing trip with my father, he took me to unknown river in my town in Aceh, Indonesia. we catch so many cat fish at that time, but now we both busy with our jobs. so we don't have to spent together anymore..
I am sorry to hear about not having more time to spend with your father. Even I don't have time now as a professional basketball player I play about 8 months every year in a different country. But, I make the best out of it when I get back home for the summer. That is all we can do.
Plus, my friend, you have memories and you can go there anytime you like and spend some time with your dad. :)
