Rules of the *Upvote Game*

Rules only! This post is NOT the Upvote Game itself.

How to play

First

Have a guess how much $ the current issue of the Upvote Game post will receive - finally shown as „Past Payouts“ (Author + Curators payout).

Then you need to do two things

(a) make a reply and write as a comment only your.guess, e.g. 44.65 - nothing more.
(b) make a 100% upvote to the current Upvote Game post.

❗️The 24 hours rule: If you do your comment/guess more than 24 hours (=1440 minutes) after the Upvote Game post was published then it’s absolutely necessary to upvote after(!) you do your comment/guess.
So if you have e.g. auto-voted this post before make an unvote first (it's performed by trying to do a second upvote) and vote again after you have done your comment / guess.

The lucky winner

The steemian who has done the best guess at the end (the smallest absolute difference) wins SBI (Steem Basic Income) Share(s) each worth 1 STEEM.
How many SBI Shares the winner will receive please understand from the Upvote Game post.
By owning SBI Shares in general you benefit from ‘lifetime’ upvotes on every post you do from now on. The more shares you own the higher the upvote value.

Further Restrictions

• You may have only 1 comment with your guess. Of course you can edit your comment/guess. If you edit always consider the *24 hours rule! *
• The last 3 replies/comments with a valid guess do not count. You can not win. So take care not to comment too late.

An Example

So if you think the Payout will be $44.65 at the end reply with:
44.65
After you have done your reply you can do your upvote whenever you want.
If you want to do your comment/guess more than 24 hours after the Upvote Game post was published you have to upvote after your comment/guess (24 hours rule).
Take care to upvote with 100% and don't be one of the last 3 commenters.

Some Remarks

• I contribute a 100% upvote and all the upvotes from my SBI (steem basic income).
• I will not mandate any upvote bot or resteeming myself - of course you are free to do it…
• If you have upvote this post automatically with less than 100% you can unvote and upvote again with 100%.
• Of course, if you change your mind later you can unvote, edit your comment/guess and upvote again. But consider that you will loose your curators payout you’ve already achieved anyway because of your early vote.
• If more players have guessed the same minimal absolute distance to the final payout the player who commented first wins.
• Remember that 12 hours before payout there is no upvoting possible any more.
• If it looks to me or the steemian community somebody is cheating or if any other unforeseen problem/irregularity arises I have the right to decide how to handle it.

About Strategies

A strategy could be to make your comment and a following upvote very late - but maybe others who already have done their bet haven’t upvoted yet. Maybe you can calculate it at the end and look what amount is still missing - but some steemians could forget to upvote - or just try to mislead you. So it could be better to vote early and achive a nice curators payout. Of course somebody could resteem the post to his followers which could result in more upvotes and a higher payout. And so on...
