"Neuro-Linguistic Programming" represents a very "fascinating" world !

Why did I say "fascinating" ? Simply because it is a science that can bury our life towards good and happiness.

What is NLP ?

NLP is an acronym for Neuro Linguistic Programming. We will see below what are these three words ?

  • Neuro : Learning is done through the circuits in your neurological system. NLP is directly interested in the creation and modification of these circuits.
  • Linguistics : To intervene on your brain and your nervous system, you will need language. You codify your experience through words.
  • Programming : These are the automatisms that allowed you one day to learn to eat to swim, to drive a car or to learn how to count .... By paying attention to a set of gestures or behaviors, you learn how to perfect them and then produce others, more and more elaborate.

The birth of NLP :

NLP was created by two Americans, Mr. Grinder and Richard Brandler. The project design was to observe people with exceptional skills in several areas. They filmed, watched, interviewed these exceptional people and instead, listening to them about what they said they were doing, they tried to observe what they were really doing. They concluded that in the modes of communication and attitudes shown by these people, there were constants and many common strategies.

Each of us will be able to do this test today. If we select a hundred people and among these hundred people, we see some of them who have talents and abilities to get out of all kinds of psychic or material problems. We will see that there are constants in the way of approaching the other, to speak, to reformulate, to position oneself in relation to the interlocutor and to guide the questions.

NLP updates the processes that will allow you to coach a person for clarification of an objective in his life by asking him questions and then mobilizing a resource status at a given time. All these processes are identified. You will understand the techniques further.

But beyond the processes and techniques, what's important is the person you're talking to. Always keep this vigilance! For example : if you are communicating with someone, it is important that you have tools to get benchmarks. But the most important thing is to grasp the content that the other person wants to tell you. The point of focusing on the process is to better meet on the content. Sometimes, some people may be so focused on the process that they forget the content and go the opposite of what they are looking for.

The basic assumptions

NLP techniques can be summed up in four parts called "basic assumptions".
The 4 parts are called presupposed because we do not know if they are true or not, besides it is not important since we are interested less in the reality of the working hypotheses than in the results that they produce.

I give you below the four assumptions that will provide you four main lines of work :

  • The perception of the world
  • Resource mobilization
  • The quality of the exchanges
  • The methodology of change
