I Broke My Ninja Blender And I fixed it! DIY

in #life9 years ago (edited)

I was washing the rotating head of the blender and spilled water in the area that spins the blades, which is attached to the motor. The water drained into the inner workings of the motor and the blender stopped working. We ordered another blender because I make my green smoothies every day and I also use the blender for a lot of recipes. The video is me after I took the machine apart to see what went wrong and cleaned up the electrical connections, dried everything off, putting it back together again.

I only had one screw left after I put the thing together and it still worked!

I couldn't believe there was so much crap inside this blender. This is the drainage spout, the area that rotates the blades wasn't waterproof.

The reason liquid got into the electrical was because several rubber stoppers had fallen out.

There was mold inside the housing. I cleaned the housing and electrical ends. Plugged everything into its proper place and plugged the unit in to the electrical socket, waiting for some kind of explosion. No fireworks, the light came on and it works perfectly.
