Sex robots have long been a part of science fiction. However, with the development of more realistic sex dolls, now sex robots have become a part of real life.

Noel Sharkey, a computer scientist working for the Foundation of Responsible Robotics, stated that sex robots make access to sex easy to obtain and this can change people forever.

According to him, the machines make sex "very easy" and "completely change human beings".

"We do it all with machines, just because we can and do not really think how those robots can change the human side completely, it can rob us of the meaning of our lives and turn us into zombies," Sharkey said as quoted by Deutsche Welle, Friday (13/4/2018).

It is said Noel Sharkey, sex based love between couples will be reduced because replaced by robots. In addition, Noel Sharkey also saw another source of danger from the development of sex robots.

He cautioned that child sex robots were the inevitable consequence of this sexual revolution. He also called for banning the sale of sex dolls that resemble children.

Regardless of the harmful effects, today the sex robot is a future trend and becomes a profitable industry.

A study in France recently mentions, 27 percent of people aged between 18 to 34 years eager to have sex with a robot. The study also showed, the number of men who are attracted three times greater than women.

In addition, a study from 2017, conducted by Manitoba University Canada, highlights the growing number of people who "consume digital sex" in cyberspace, as well as people who prefer relationships with robots rather than with humans.

Dr Neil McArthur, one of the researchers, explains that more and more will identify themselves as "digital sexual offenders", in line with the development of robotic technologies that are implemented into a romantic context.

Although sex robots will become more visible as human beings, scientists say, it takes 50 years to have sex with a robot or human can no longer be distinguished.
