So true. I can think of numerous times I've done things like that (at least to a relatively small scale). Like small unplanned road trips or weekend getaways with friends and family. Money would be tight and logically you would think it not responsible. But I would make it work. If I needed to pick up an extra shift the week after then so be it. What I have now during those times is plenty of close relationships and memories.
