The Story of a Young Man Seen on the Way of God
This story is told by Anas bin Malik RA's best friend. During the Battle of Badr, his uncle Anas bin An-Nadhr was absent in the war.
Because of that uncle promised, that in the next war, he will go to war and exert all the ability to defend the religion of Allah SWT. Then Anas bin An-Nadh met Rasulullah SAW.
"O Messenger of Allah, I did not participate in the first war against the unbelievers. If God gives me a chance to participate in the next war, you will see how brave I am, "he said confidently.
So came the Uhud War, he fulfilled the promise to participate in the war.
When Muslims are pushed by the enemy and retreat, he says, "O Allah, I apologize to You for this. I will repay what these unbelievers have done. "
Then, he went forward and brave and passed Sa'ad bin Mu'adz. Anas said to him, "O Sa'ad, By Allah, I smell the fragrance of heaven from Uhud's mountain."
A few moments later Sa'ad told the Prophet Muhammad. "O Messenger, I can not imitate what Anas bin An-Nadhr did. We found eighty wound sabetan swords and an arrow stab in his body. We found him dead with a body cut in such a way. Until no one can recognize it except his sister who sees her distinctive fingers. "
