Doctor'sLife #5: Menghadiri PIN XV PB PAPDI di Makassar

Mencari ilmu boleh saja sampai ke negeri Cina, bahkan negeri manapun di dunia. Tapi kali ini, saya tidak pergi terlalu jauh, masih di negeri tercinta - Sulawesi Selatan, tepatnya kota Makassar.

Pada 13-15 Oktober silam, saya mengikuti rangkaian acara PIN PAPDI, mulai dari simposium hingga sejumlah workshop. Sangat asyik. Kegiatan ini berlangsung di Hotel Grand Clarion, Makassar.

Upgrade dan update ilmu memang sangatlah penting, untuk terus mengikuti perkembangan terkini. Workshop yang saya ikuti antara lain, hands on echokardiografi dasar, dan terapi terkini non operatif disfungsi ereksi pada DM.

Menariknya, dalam acara ilmiah seperti ini, kita bisa reuni dengan teman-teman seperjuangan dulu, saat mengikuti pendidikan. Saya misalnya, menjalani pendidikan spesialis di Palembang, tentu saja bertemu dengan teman sejawat asal Bumi Sriwijaya adalah sebuah keniscayaan. Saat itu, saya bertemu salah satu sahabat dekat saya, dr. Erty Sundarita, SpPD, yang kini bertugas di RSUD Sekayu Sumatera Selatan.

Empat hari yang menyenangkan telah kami lalui di kota Makassar. Selain mendapatkan ilmu bermanfaat, kami juga dapat menikmati keindahan destinasi wisata dan sedapnya kuliner di kota terbesar ke-5 di Indonesia ini.
