What's Shaping Your Life? - It's Up to You

Life, at its core, is nothing more than the accumulation of habits and thoughts. We acquire them through the course of our daily lives. For example, if we wake up in the morning with an abundance of bad thoughts, then we have an uphill battle ahead of us. However, by focusing our thoughts on what's most important to us, and what we should be focusing on, we can usually turn those negatives into positives. Our internal mantra becomes our own personal expression of what's shaping one's life.


So how do you make sure that what's shaping your life is a positive thing? Well, one good way is to start looking at your life from a different perspective. Instead of focusing on the negative things, try to see them as opportunities. By doing this, you will be less stressed out, and in turn, will have a better view of yourself. When you view your life as something that is positive rather than negative, you are apt to notice that you have more energy and happiness.

You might also try to be grateful for every little thing in your life, and especially for the things that you have control over. While it is true that you have little in the way of control over other people or things such as your job, you have a great deal of control over your own mind, which is what ultimately determines the quality of your life. If you truly want to experience happiness, then you must be willing to put forth an effort to change your negative thoughts. If you keep focusing on all of the things that are bad in your life, you will be unhappy.

One of the best ways to gain happiness and improve the quality of your life is by working toward making your own life better. One's own life is the only one's that matters, not another people or circumstances. If you are focused upon someone else's life or circumstance, you can easily focus on that life as well. If you are happy with your life, your thoughts and actions are going to follow suit.

Another good way to improve the quality of your life is to give thanks everyday. When you are able to look at everything in a thankful manner, you will automatically find great contentment and happiness. People who have a constant state of gratitude for everything that they have, including themselves, find great contentment and happiness. If you keep focusing on what you have and are thankful for it, then the quality of your life will benefit from it.


One of the most important questions one can ask is "what's shaping my life?" In order to change the quality of your life, you need to start with where you are right now. Begin to question the choices you are making in your life, and find out why you are doing them. Are you living a lie, or are you doing what is truly important to you? Sometimes it is really very clear as to why you are doing the things you do.

The bottom line answer to the question of "what's shaping your life?" is that it is up to each of us to create the life that is most fulfilling for us. It may be necessary to make some difficult decisions along the way, but if you learn from your past mistakes and use what you learn to improve your life's future, then you will live a life full of happiness and contentment.
