Gratitude For Your Country— North Korea Video
@rawdawg just wanted to present something to his fellow Steemers. And this post has more to do with gratitude than anything else.
We didn’t choose to be born into this world and we especially didn’t choose to be born in a particular country.
At times we forget how truly lucky we are to live in the geographical locations that we do. Despite the imperfections of our governments, social structure, or political systems we should all remember one thing. . .
It could always be worse and being grateful for the freedoms that we do have should not be forgotten.
In this video you get to see how North Koreans live which was filmed by 2 French journalists. It is a good reminder to be grateful for the country you live in, wherever that may be, it probably doesn’t get any worse than life under this regime.

I’m no fan of Kim jong un. But keep in mind what they do in North Korea. Is done in western nations also but at a more sophisticated level. Keep in mind the have there elite just like western nations.

You can laugh all you want. I don’t find the situation in North Korea. Or the amount of propaganda in western society in movies music and supposedly independent news in western society. What I’m saying is we have this too but more subtle. And if we ignore this subtle slowly losing our freedoms. Then another free country or society will laugh at us.

Western society has it about 10000% better than North Korea. You obviously missed the whole point of the video. It’s about being grateful for the fact that you don’t live under a regime such as North Korea. Comparing the subtle nature of manipulation by MSM in the USA is no where near the level of progranda in North Korea.

If you don’t see that you have it much easier in Western Society then regimes such as North Korea which brainwash the population from birth then you are just fishing for reasons to complain about the country you live in. Gratitude was the point of the post and displaying what life “could be” like in other places.
I could make a video here in the USA of ppl living under freeways hooked on heroin. Ppl being jailed for a bag of weed. And forced to work in a private for profit prison for slave wages. Making 5k bullet proof vests. Farmers losing there family farms from taxes. Before you point your finger. Look around you. We are all slowly losing more of our freedoms. And if you stay blind to that fact then you are part of the problem.
Maybe you should move to North Korea. You obviously don’t have ANY gratitude for how easy you have it in this country. I was making a comparison not pointing fingers. If you do not think ppl in the USA have a better chance then those born in North Korea that is pretty delusional.

The only thing I feel looking at this post is pain for my fellow Koreans who have to live under a dictator. And pain for my fellow Koreans in the south that just jailed there ex first female president. And if we can’t see thru the bullshit propagand from Fox News. And MSNBC. We will be into a pile of shit up to our necks.
Correct, I feel pain for them as well. Must be terrible, hence why I’m grateful I was not born there.
I am grateful for the opportunity. I am grateful for middle class with upward mobility. I am grateful for my fellow Americans. And patriots. But I have kids. And I have to make sure this country or any other country doesnt becomes a North Korea.

Good post. But your video mainly shows how constant brainwashing works! If you like oppression that is. I didn't even have to watch the video either. Unless people are shown the alternatve, they cannot decide for themselves. Yes, we're lucky, but how often we are reminded of this is rare. Good for you.
Thanks. . .The video was a good reminder for me and felt it may be useful for others. If you do get the time, it is worth checking out. Pretty shocking the great lengths that are taken to brainwash a whole nation. I knew this already, but the videos dives deep into a country we know so little about.
I went into the video and stopped at the thought that they view every foreigner as an enemy. That's enough to give me a full enough picture until I get time to view it all. It's so very sad.
