You know those people that push your buttons? They are mirroring what needs acceptance and healing in yourself

Imagine you’re standing in front of a huge mirror, a few times bigger than yourself. You see your reflection neatly on the surface of this nice, smooth, clear mirror.

But then just like if someone threw a rock at it, it breaks into thousand pieces.

Now everywhere you look you see your face reflected from all these different angles and in oddly shaped smaller mirrors.

These oddly shaped, big or small mirrors are all the people you meet throughout your life.

Every person you meet is reflecting a part of yourself.

Each person is a piece of that original mirror, reflecting back to you different parts of your personality and your subconscious mind.

Some mirrors will reflect your joyful, loving, kind, thoughtful parts.

These are the mirrors you like the most, that you want to spend more time with.

But, there are also other mirrors that reflect your shadows, your anger, fears, insecurities, your judgemental parts or any other repressed, rejected, blamed parts of yourself.

Those are the mirrors you don’t like. The mirrors you try to reject from your life, the ones you judge as external and independent from yourself.

The stronger the negative reaction you have in front of one of these mirrors the bigger and more repressed is that similar part in yourself.

These are the mirrors that also give you the biggest opportunities to heal those same aspects in yourself.

That is if you manage to see them as they are: mirrors of your unhealed parts and not some random, mean, evil people that just want to piss you off.

So be mindful when you notice a mirror you don't like, especially during times like the winter holidays or any other busy time of the year. (If you want more practical ideas on how to go through the holidays without getting stressed and overwhelmed, check this out )

Wishing you to stay peaceful and aware through the winter holidays, and to learn from each mirror that life puts in front of you.
