RE: Failures Build A Person, Not Successes

in #life7 years ago

Awesome post.

I probably failed more than most people I know, and I probably also had more success than all the people I know, and the only thing that led to that was me not giving up.

I always imagined success as being some kind of really expensive and shiny jewelry that you want to get, while having to pass all the obstacles that protect it.

You will fail, many times, and you will be hurt in the process, but if you keep walking towards that shiny jewelry, and if you never give up, you will, eventually, obtain it.

I guess one of the main reasons people give up on their dreams and on the things they want most is because they never expect success to be so hard to reach.

They see other people succeeding and they expect to be able to get what those people have. They forget that in order to get successful, those people had to fight, and had to resist the urge of giving up on all the days life decided to just give them a hard time.

The taste of success is a sweet one, as long as you're willing to work hard and not give up.

The only piece of advice I can give to anyone willing to give up, is this - don't. I did it in the past, and there's nothing worse than giving up on something then regret it.

Oh man I know how this feels. Thank you for such an insightful comment.
