Today I was looking at my Steemit profile and I was comparing it with what I managed to make in a year of publishing on Graphic River and Creative Market. I was trying to find out which website allowed me to get the highest rewards and where I should invest more of my time.

Then I realized again something I talked about in the past - while trying to focus on doing one thing in order to increase your rewards is great, trying to expand and sharing your work in multiple places is always something you should consider doing. In my case, by sharing my work and trying to do different things for different places I created multiple sources of income.

Having different places that will pay you for your activity is a must in today's world since no one can know for sure if they will be able to live their entire life getting paid from one single place. One day you're a happy employee receiving your salary at the end of each month and the next day you're fired for almost no reason.

A lot of jobs are replaced every day by robots, because it's always easier to create something that can do one task all the time without getting tired and without asking for money, than to keep a person who has needs and requires payment.

Because of that expanding your activity and trying to get known by more and more people is something you should consider doing. If you don't want to share the same work everywhere then start doing different things for different places.

For example, in my case, I'm writing for Steemit and publishing design packages for Graphic River and Creative Market. Maybe in the future I may consider writing for Medium as well, and also do other things related to writing that are completely different from what I do on this website.

That means I'll have to spend more time working and creating a lot more content, but expansion requires that and in order for me to make sure I'll have all the money I need in the future to live a decent life I need to be willing to work as much as needed and build all kind of sources of income.

For those of you who don't know, a few years ago I had a YouTube channel focused on promoting artists that weren't so known and after going through high school using the money I received from that channel, I stopped using YouTube at all and started focusing on something different.

The problem was that since YouTube was my main and only source of income at the time, when I stopped using it I stopped receiving money as well. That resulted in a few months of trying to work in all kind of places to get whatever I could in order to keep doing what I wanted.

That's also when I realized that focusing only on one source of income and hoping to get all the rewards I need from there for the rest of my life is a really bad idea and I should never do that. That's when I started working for Graphic River and Creative Market, then for Steemit and now I'm looking to extend my activity and do more for other places.

I believe that if you are in a similar situation, receiving income from only one place and basing your entire life on your ability to make money the way you did until now, you should also think about expanding and doing more in order to create multiple sources of income.

This may seem like a waste of time for some of you but it's honestly one of the best things you can do to secure your future. Even if you won't lose your main source of income in the following years, I don't think you'll mind working for around two more hours every day and receive extra money for that.

So, if you didn't consider doing this until now, start thinking about it and see if there's any way you can do more and expand in order to share your content in other places. It's never a bad idea to make sure you'll have money in the future and if that requires you to work a little bit more every day, I believe that your future and the future of your family is more important than two extra hours of sleep.
