Since its the first day of summer, I thought share some interesting facts with you! (:
- Americans eat around 5.5 gallons of ice cream per year on average..
- When its summer in the northern hemisphere, its winter in the southern hemisphere.
- More thunderstorms occur during the summer than any other time of the year.
- The Eiffel Tower grows 6 inches in the summer each year due to the iron expanding from the heat.
- During the summer solstice the earth is actually at its farthest from the sun
- The last day of summer is September 20th. 😢
