Heart is hungry

So much blame you're made to bear, so much pain you consciously wear; dearest, do you drink your sorrows too whenever you get too thirsty?

Your heart is hungry, your soul has withered and your mind is way past desperation— you're just so done, huh?

In case the voice inside your head forgot to tell you, your self hatred isn't what's going to fill the need within you.

But then how are you supposed to fill yourself with love when all you've ever been allowed to gorge on are a mouthful of "you're useless","no one needs you here", and a tall glass of angry words all around to wash it down?

This world expects kindness, when it hasn't even raised us in kindness, only in often undeserved cruelty.

Everyone hurts beneath the smiles they stitch on their mouths even if no one, two, three, four pair of eyes can see it.
