Upgrade the Three R's
There are more important steps to the 3 R's of Reduce, Reuse, Recycle because that merely isn't enough to make a difference. Thinking you would get different results doing the same behaviour is insanity!
Re-think, Respect, Restore have a greater impact on mindset to ripple out further in a positive chain reaction from our choices. When I spent time at O.U.R. Ecovillage, it rewired the way I tight buy how they conserved energy, stacked functions of things that work better together and gave back to the natural surroundings 3 times of what they took. If you take the time to be outside urban life, you eventually begin to realize how powerful the natural world is. Re-evaluate the things you purchase, eat and throw "away". It's an illusion, the concept of "away" because we don't regularly visit the dump.
