10 Simple Tips to Improve Your Life

Here in this first post, I want to share 10 simple tips for life. These though seems common sense very few people are actually using them. So just a gentle reminder.

Tip No 1: When showing someone a photo on your phone always zoom in a bit on the picture, so if they are swipers you have time to get the phone back.

Tip No 2: Let go of the notion that someone else can "make" you happy. You are responsible for your own happiness.

Tip No 3: Get a box of disposable gloves.

Tip No 4: If you are going to be late and they ask how long it takes you to get there, add 5 minutes to your estimate. It sucks to be late, it's rude to be late twice.

Tip No 5: If you need to ask a host if it's "ok to smoke" the answer is always no, even when they say yes. Don't bother placing your host/friends in an awkward spot.

Tip No 6: When meeting someone for the first time, try and use their name as early as possible; eg, 'Nice to meet you, John'. You'll have a greater chance at recalling their name and will feel more confident in addressing them, thereby earning their respect.

Tip No 7: It shouldn't be hard to be friends with someone. The sooner you realize this the sooner you'll start making real friends.

Tip No 8: If someone you know is introducing you to someone and they don't say your name, chances are they might have forgotten it. Help save face and introduce yourself.

Tip No 9: When making any decision related to exercise, productivity or simply going out of the house, stand up, walk around and even just step outside your front door. It's always easier to say "No" when you're not moving.

Tip No 10: When cooking a messy meal, clean up/put things away as you go.
