Benjamin Franklin

Benjamin Franklin was an American writer, publisher, printer, inventor, scientist and statesman.
He was one of the founding fathers of the United States and participated in the drafting of the United States Declaration of Independence. He also represented the United States as a diplomat in France during the American Revolution. In this capacity, he negotiated the alliance treaty with the French.
His life was marked by the will to support the community. He founded fire brigades and the first lending library in America. He also constructed a low-smoking wood stove and invented the lightning conductor.

Benjamin Franklin war ein amerikanischer Schriftsteller, Verleger, Drucker, Erfinder, Naturwissenschaftler und Staatsmann.
Er war einer der Gründerväter der Vereinigten Staaten und beteiligte sich am Entwurf der Unabhängigkeitserklärung der USA. Auch vertrat er während der Amerikanischen Revolution die Vereinigten Staaten als Diplomat in Frankreich. In dieser Funktion handelte er den Allianzvertrag mit den Franzosen aus.
Sein Leben war von dem Willen geprägt, das Gemeinwesen zu unterstützen. Er gründete Feuerwehren und die erste Leihbibliothek Amerikas. Auch konstruierte er einen raucharmen Holzofen und erfand den Blitzableiter.
