No more waiting, how to get good at anything in 20 hours, mental hacks that can be applied in business.

in #life7 years ago

Are you one of those who want to learn a new skill or even start your own business, but can’t find the necessary time?
Is it because you’re always in a hurry, working at the late hours raising kids and trying to earn a living exhausting yourself before the daily duties have been reached?

Whatever your obstacles are..

Here are 3 ways to practice

  1. Deconstruct the skill:

Break down the parts and ask yourself what you want to achieve and how to accomplish the skill in the fastest way possible.

Here is this idea of starting your own business:

You have developed the skills necessary to get to the particular result. So instead of learning everything in the world about launching a business, ask yourself which subskill is necessary to get to the particular result. You have to be very goal orientated and very specific.

  1. Self-correct:
By knowing what you want it becomes a lot easier to be able to break down information and apply the subskills over and over again. By avoiding a lot of the distraction of things that won’t help you to achieve your goals the fastest way possible, you can suck in a lot of information at less time.
  1. Pre-commit to practice at least 20 hours:

The idea of practicing at least 20 hours is a really important check on your reasons of learning.

Firstly it makes you realize if it’s worth rearranging your schedule for and if it is something you’re going to benefit from to make the effort worth it.

Secondly the pre-commitment of 20 hours, makes sure that you push through the first hours of frustration to actually see a result.

Good Practice!
