Horticulture Handbook: "Renet Simirenko"

Today I started cleaning apples, a variety - Renet Simirenko. An old and proven variety, which is widely known on the expanses of Ukraine, Russia and many more post-Soviet countries. Renet Simirenko was accidentally discovered by the gardener LP Simirenko in the gardens of the "Platonov Farm" (Ukraine, Chernihiv region) belonging to him in the 80s of the XIX century and was named after his father PF Simirenko.

Himself LP Simirenko wrote: "... is it an old variety, forgotten in the West ... perhaps this apple was born from the accidental sowing of grain in the gardens of the" Platonov Farm ".

To be honest, I do not like them to taste, not a bit)) It has a sweet and sour taste, more sour than sweet and dense pulp, but there are people who really like the taste of this apple. I grow them for them.
