History of LSD (Lysergic of Acid Diethylamide)

LSD was syntetized for the first by Albert Hofmann. The hallucinogenic effects of the substance remained unknow till 1943 when a small amount of LSD came into conctact with his skin. LSD penetrated the skin and got into the bloodstream. Effects of LSD fell within 40 minutes. He was interested in it, so he took a bigger dose and then he experienced the first LSD ecstasy in the worl. He immediately knew it was a big thing. It had a strong influence on his activity and consciousness, feelings, thoughts, susceptibility. It´s a very powerful drug, Just 25mg are needed to fell the effects of LSD.

By 1956 LSD was administered to 40,000 patients as Dylesid. Its effects have been tested in almost all diseases such as alcoholism, autism and many others. Due to the similarity of LSD with a chemical present in our brain and psychosic-like effect, many psychiatrists tested this substance on humans.

When people take LSD, their perception of reality is change including colours. WHY?
Well, normally informations from our eyes is processed in the special part of brain called the visual cortex. But people who take LSD have many parts of the brain activated that contribute to visual processing.
