We all desire to be the final point of attention, cynosure of all eyes and someday everyone can look up to. It's a good feeling and it's amazing how we now find ourselves in a limitless world of possibilities where there are so many platforms to encourage whatever we have on our inside craving for expression. Are you an artist, musician, fashion entrepreneur, athlete, or any kind of talent, there is always a show to recognize your works and reward accordingly, meaning stardom is no longer a dream but a reality that will happen to you sooner or later.

Here is the big part that we all fail to pay attention to most times. Being under the lights is one thing, embracing the responsibilities that such attention comes with is another thing. In my opinion, the responsibilities should literally be the goals because just like they say, a position does not make a leader, but a leader makes a position.

Something else worth of note is knowing that being under the lights will require four things of you:

• Passion
• Consistency
• Time
• Energy

Passion

Our passion stem from our desire to want to change the status quo and the ability of our inner eyes agreeing that all the set goal is possible. When passion is strong, achieving anything is possible. Our inclination to practically doing something comes from the passion we have for that thing. Overtime, passion becomes a lifestyle, because you keep at all that needs to be done to reach your desired goal.

Consistency

That you know what to do, how to do what you do or when to do it is not enough. How often you do those things is what matters. Eventually, you will be known for that particular thing in a way that is peculiar to you. Our consistent practices are far reaching to helping us become our vision or goal on which we build.

Time

Moving from where you are to where you want to be, happens in the process of time and that is almost an inevitable fact. You want to travel far or near, you want to make your dreams and life count, you must give way to the process of time. Standing behind the lights and eventually being under the light does not require magic, it takes time to happen.

Energy

Passion is never enough and I believe the force needed for passion to effectually produce results are the steps taken in between. Let's look at it this way, having passion to drive a car can never move the car from its position of rest, the only thing that moves the car is the effort applied in form of energy to move the car which includes putting pressure on the pedals, after the engine has been turned on.

Well, we all some day need to be under the lights, of course through hardwork and smart work spiced with undaunted passion to achieve so much by consistently doing the requirement and putting our efforts forward, we will achieve in no time

What next after the lights are on you?

It's called

Responsibility

I can tell that the lights usually take away some habits from you, which might not be bad and also adds some others to you but you have to be responsible for all. You can no longer eat where you used to eat (lol), you can no longer talk just anyhow, you can no longer keep some company like before. It's all for the good if perceived the right way.

In Nigeria, I really don't know if this is peculiar to us but anytime you are under any kind of light, your fans and friends just suddenly assume your wallet has also seen the light of new and bigger currencies, wait for it, requests start rolling in. Not bad, but you have to be responsible for your life now and make them understand what the reality is because in the place of trying to please everyone, you might lose yourself ad not last in the light.
