In quantum physics the observer has a direct influence on the experiment being observed (The double slit experiment) I think that as science progresses they will find that the human mind plays a large part in creating the reality around us. Lots of food for thought in your post.
I believe the conscious mind has a much bigger effect than previously thought on reality, too. That is a difficult thing to fully "measure" accurately, as thought is relative, but I am glad they can at least finally agree that that is a thing.
