What makes Ekoa special is it's a bio-compound that links Flax fibers and resins to create a material that's stronger than steel, lighter than carbon-fiber, BlackBirdClaraConcert_1.jpg carbon negative and looks wonderful. Blackbird guitars proved the concept of Ekoa as a viable replacement for spruce in stringed instruments...now Ekoa is being looked at to replace 100's of items.

Is there a stock to invest in here? I wonder about floating and water damage, would it be a good boat material? This could be a sign, do we build the ark with Ekoa?

Ekoa is a space grade material. So I gotta think it'll handle water well. If you think about all the materials it can replace...2x4s, metal siding...on and on...lighter to transport, more rugged than plastic....on and on.

They're not quite ready to go public...but I gotta imagine that'll happen as they expand. They just closed a round of funding...I don't know if they'll do another.

Interesting, guess I missed the light in weight part which would make it possibly a new boat material, maybe the hull and all or just decking and so on?... Very nice find and share!

Thanks, I have a lot of technology and emerging market based content from my Popping The Bubbl podcast. I'll be posting more!
