To live without philosophy?
Because of our hectic way of living, we do not have time to reflect on life and its circumstances, we walk a little blindly, acting in many cases in an unreflective way. Speed is imposed, everything has to respond quickly. There are no truces. There are no breaks. There is no thought. Only a robotic act.
This way of being departs much from what is the human essence. Humans are endowed with a special quality, abstract thought, reflection.
Philosophy has the function of helping us in this task of recovering the reflective thinking.
Philosophical thinking will allow us to differentiate the rational from the irrational. It will give us the necessary tools to separate us from magical thinking, from those explanations that we use every day and that serve little to understand the world around us.
As we philosophize, our view of reality will be more serene, deeper, more intuitive. Our criteria will have more relevance, consideration and weight among the people that surround us.
Philosophy is associated with clarity, it serves to break the shadows that cover our ways of thinking.
