AVOIDING FINANCIAL PRESSURE

As an undergraduate student in the university of port harcourt interacting with young people i realised that most young people are under financial pressure that can be avoided.
The simple truth is we are all created for pleasure and not for pressure. As young people we are supposed to be pace setters, path finders but when things go wrong then we have missed it somewhere.
Pressure result to tension and tension not managed may lead to hypertension.

FACTOR THAT PUT PEOPLE UNDER FINANCIAL PREASSURE

1. LACK OF PLANNING: a wise man once said if you fail to plan then you have plan to fail. It is important to plan your spending. When God planned to create fishes he made provision for water first. Don't jump process learn to sit and plan your finance.

2. SELF DECEIT: a lot of young people especially in the university live a fake life just to be like their friends when they know such life is too expensive to maintain. This can put you under financial preasure because you will need more money to service such high status.

3. REFUSING TO START SMALL: Most of us young people have great ideas but we are not ready to start from where we are. We waiting for that huge amount of money to start with. This will put you under pressure. Napolion Hill said 'do something with what you have, where you are and God will increase you with what you have'. A wise man said 'if you can think enough then what you have is enough to start with. Note that starting small does not mean you will remain small. Its only grave that starts from the top to the bottom.

4. PLANNING WITH SOMEBODY INCOME IN MIND: You must have in mind that the person that promised you money is human so he/she is bound to fail you. When you put all your hope and trust on that person and begin to shop for new thing or owe people believing you will get the money might put you under preasure.

5. PERILOUS SPENDING: that is to say reckless spending. Most young people are emotional buyer. We buy thing our friend buy especially things that are not necessities. This will prevent you from saving and investing there by putting you under preasure in time of need.

6. BORROWING: the holy scripture says in proverb 22:7 that the borrower is subject to the lender. In my neighbour hood those days, a lady borrowed from her friend and could not pay on time, when ever the friend is coming she would run to hide. That lady suffered pressure and embarrassment.

7. COMPARING YOURSELF WITH OTHERS: Everyone of us is created with unique abilities so if try to be like MR A, you will end up putting yourself under pressure. Cut your coat according to your material and not according to your size.

Think big, dream big, start where you are. The financial preasure can be avoided and managed. Your life is too precious.. Nothing is worth dying for except the GOD.
