The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People Intro

Hey Steemit community. I started reading a new book and I wanted to share a quit quote from the intro. The book is the best seller called, The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People, by Stephen R. Covey. So far it is a great read and I recommend that you pick up a copy. It is a book that if followed, has the potential to greatly improve on who you are, and how you interact with others. However, this isn't a "quick fix" or band-aid solution. The book mentions principles that need to be worked on that take time and work. Here is a quick quote from the intro...

"When we succumb to believe that we are victims of our circumstances and yield to the plight of determinism, we lose hope, we lose drive, and we settle into resignation and stagnation. Blaming everyone and everything else for our problems and challenges may be the norm and may provide temporary relief from the pain, but it also chains us to these very problems. Show me someone who is humble enough to accept and take responsibility for his or her circumstances and courageous enough to take whatever initiative is necessary to creatively work his or her way through or around these challenges, and I'll show you the supreme power of choice."
