Continue From Everything Has Beginning....

Around year 2003, from Myanmar 3 of seminarians came to Singapore Catholic major seminary to study. It was light and hope for our small community. They 3 are also help us to grow stronger. Each of them also take their time and sharing with us bible knowledge on every 4th week of the month at City Hall Fort Canning Park. It was very easy for us to go that location because it was nearby city hall Peninsula Plaza.

Peninsula Plaza is little Myanmar in Singapore and most of Myanmar are meet up, transfer money to our country and buying Myanmar foods at the place. So we don’t have any problem to gather and listen about Gospel sharing section as well as foods. We become close to each other and community member was growing.

We request our seminarians to organized for retreat program for us at holiday season in Singapore. And agree with us and tried to request his Rector to provide us speech and place as well. The gracious priest allow us to use his seminary during school holidays for us to do retreat and even allow us to stay overnight.

The place was very far away from train station and need to took the bus from Punggol Temp Interchange and only one bus available must walk in about 1 KM. we need to wait someone at the bus stop and guide the location. It is difficult to go but every one try to participate for Christmas celebration.

The Singapore seminary was amaze for us. It will plan and build, firstly they have very beauty campus, and chapel. After that good and up to date class rooms, offices for the rectors and big store room. And if you continue to walk you can see basketball court, swimming pool and soccer field. It was separated by link walk way with roof. Than you can see beautiful theater room for event to celebrate and can contain more than 200 peoples.

Than you can see for the seminarians block and they can stay individual room for more than 50 peoples. At ground floor they place by standard gym room, dining hall and kitchen. As for us it is likes resort centre and talk each other if this kind of facility, we can be seminarians and want to become priest as well.

The rector allow us to use all the facility accept his room, swimming pool, kitchen and store room. He provide us 2 hall rooms to stay overnight for each female and male. As for me I enjoy with his speech during his time to sharing with us and gym machines and soccer field. His word touched us until today is in the wold every human has duty to fulfil and to love each other. We cannot compare and jealous each other and not to be look down. Respect each other for all time for whoever and nothing to proud off. Because of God loves us what we are doing.

We have learned different way to view of our life and we have some game to play for make ourselves closer. And the evening we prepare for our Christmas mass celebration with Myanmar visitor priest from Philippine and celebrated. After the mass we went to punggol beach and having drink with our youth group. The next morning we celebrated morning mass and the party program began. Christmas nativity concert and live band singing, lunch and singing again and finished at about 3 PM.

I remember one incident with my friend was, we don’t know how to drive European car. One of our friend bring his company minivan to the church, so when we need to buy something we approach him to go out and buy. But he was busy with setting up for the Band, so he ask to use his van to go ourselves. So me and my friend took his van and go out and buy something. But the problem is we cannot engage reverse gear, we need to call him and asked how to engage the reverse gear for the first time.

After the retreat, as usual we stay back one day and doing housekeeping and laundry for all the bed sheet and other thing. During drying laundry, we saw star fruits tree, durian tree and chestnut tree around the compound and pick all the fruits and enjoy ourselves. After we handover to in charge we happily go home with joy although we are tired. And we are hoping to get a chance like this for our community my future.
