Pilu River is One Of The Blessing For Myanmar

After I drink I got drunk and we went to attend the church. The Church was full of people so we didn’t get any seat and we have to stay outside the church. The weather was so cold and the sky was so beautiful at night. During the mass, because of we were drunk, we fall asleep while sitting on my wheel chair. When singing Gloria we woke up because of the Church’s bell was ringing and the fire work as well.

Which is amazing for us and don’t have experience like before. The night was so cold and the Christmas was very meaning full and we all are happy. After we attend the mass, we I push back my wheelchair to the house and get rest for the day. It was my lifetime experience for me to join the Christmas at Kayah State. The weather , the people and the place was just perfect.

On the Christmas day, I did woke up to go morning mass but nobody can help me to go so, I continue to sleep. After we woke up, all the house owner were attending the church and did not come back to the house because everyone celebrating the Christmas so, they visiting each other house. One of their relatives come and invite us to visit their house.

The house was quite far away from where we stay but my wheelchair can push and go. So push the wheelchair along the road. While I am pushing wheelchair, everyone looking at me like Monkey in the town. My friend’s Father-in-law told me that I even can not move fingers and legs but I can manage to come their place with this situation.

They serve us planty of foods and drinks for us as well as all the visitors. We enjoy their traditional food and rice wine. Normally they drink rice wine for everyday instead of drinking water. Their traditional pork sausage was very popular at our country. We enjoy everything.

After we having a meal, my friend plan for us to visit “Lawpitha Hydropower station”. It was from Pilu River, we get hydro power to run the turbine. Balu river start from Moebyel lake which is connected to Inle lake. Because of the climate change, during the summer time they do not get enough water to supply electricity. So, they plan to keep the water with the dam and supply water forever to run the power station now.

This hydropower plant is donated by Japan since 1950 after Second World War Until they still provide us technology and other supply for us to continuous running and extension. Now we have 3 power stations which is connected each other. Plant 2 and Plant 3 were built about 50 years and they reinforce to get the hydropower from Balu river and save by the dam and supply by the pipe line from the higher land.

We drove along the dam and pipe line and after we need to enter the restricted zone, we need to apply the entry pass to enter the power plant. We drove along the valley of the mountain. It is look like Kalaw high way road at Shan high land. We can feel the pressure change inside our ears. The view was so amazing and still have some jungle. The road was all the way down to valley and the road was narrow and scary.

After a few minute drive, we arrive to power plant 2 and we enter to the viewing point which is so amazing and can see 2 big pipe coming down from the top of the mountain which is around diameter of 2 meters pipe and the mountain is around more than 200 meters height. I was thinking in my mind, when the construction time, it must be so difficult to construct the structure. To deliver all the goods will not be easy as well as installing at that kind of valley.

At the viewing point we enjoy the scenery. And we can see the Balu water fall and the step of the another dam for plant 3. Beside the water fall, the cliff of the mountain was way very high. So, I ask one of the duty officer that “Is there any mountain goat around this area?”, he answered “ at the evening time the mountain goats used to come and drink the water from the cliff”. After we enjoy the view, we went down to power plant -3.

This plant was newly built and the road was wide enough and very good. We need to go down to another valley and beside the road , we can see worker quarter, Basic primary school for the kids, a lot of spare part for the power plant and entrance of the cave.

We did not manage to visit all the cave because of time constrain. About 15 minutes drive from plant-2, we can see plant-3 and another Balu water fall which is so beautiful. From the place we look up to the mountain, it is so high and good view.
